The Penthouse

You will find this iconic penthouse on top of the former AUTOPON building at the Vondelpark in Amsterdam. It offers spectacular views of the entire city. Light, spaciousness and air form the starting point of this redesign.

The iconic Penthouse is located in an equally iconic building that served as a luxury car showroom from 1961. The company's technical room and boardroom were once located here. Due to its current status as a national monument, major interventions were out of the question. The existing interior was carefully stripped step by step and shell by shell and the creative process could begin. The end result is an interior that borders on living perfection and does justice to the architecture of the building.
Natural materials and earthy tones also create a serene and relaxed atmosphere in the open kitchen, with a phenomenal view here too.
I wanted to create an interior that has no equal in the Netherlands. High-end and personal, with a sexy flair. I wanted an interior that is different from others. Unique elements and materials that merge into an exclusive whole.

A modern and comfortable overall picture, in which the wonderful style from the 60s would become visible and tangible. We have been working towards that. We wanted ultimate luxury, comfort and freedom, despite the restrictions due to the monument status. The drive to create something unique goes very far here. All the way to Rio de Janeiro.
